Canadian notes
- Canadian company; Canadian pricing page in CAD.
- Client limits count active and archived clients, so a trades business with many one-off customers can outgrow Lite/Plus quickly.
- Payroll is offered through PaymentEvolution (talk to a FreshBooks consultant), not built in.
Good fit
Owner-operators and small crews who mainly need clean invoices, estimates, expense tracking and an accountant login.
Watch out for
Per-client plan limits; no built-in Canadian payroll; inventory-heavy businesses (bars, liquor, retail) will want QuickBooks Plus or a POS that tracks stock.
