Heads-upRun by the same person behind Trim & Tally, a bookkeeping service; we may earn commissions from some links. Commissions never decide what we recommend. How we make money.
Reviewer-testedAllison has used QuickBooks Online (Canada) in her own bookkeeping work. Her hands-on notes are added below once she has reviewed this page.
What it costs
- Lite: C$20/month regular (1 user, no accountant access, 2 bank connections)
- EasyStart: C$30/month regular (1 user plus your accountant)
- Plus: C$110/month regular (5 users; inventory, project profitability, classes/locations)
- Advanced: C$220/month regular (25 users; workflow automation, custom reports, backup/restore)
- Essentials plan also exists; its regular price was not shown on the page we captured. Payroll is a paid add-on (Core / Premium / Elite).
Intro offer seen Nov 2, 2026: 90% off (e.g. Plus at C$11/month) for new 'Buy now' customers; that discount is not available if you start with the 30-day free trial.

Canadian notes
- Calculates and tracks GST/HST so you can file with the CRA (per Intuit's pricing page).
- QuickBooks Payroll handles CPP, EI, T4s and ROEs. Intuit's page says automatic workers' comp tracking is available for QC, ON and BC only, so Alberta WCB is still a manual step.
- QuickBooks Desktop is no longer sold to new subscribers in Canada (per Intuit's FAQ).
Good fit
Businesses with employees, inventory, multiple locations or an accountant who already works in QuickBooks; the default choice most Canadian bookkeepers can support.
Watch out for
Regular prices are high once the intro discount ends; Plus is the realistic plan for most crews and kitchens. Lite has no accountant access.
